Michael Ferrie is a founder of and currently President & CEO of Physician Data Management, L.L.C. (PDM). He owns significant majority interest in PDM.
Michael has over 20 years of diverse experience in health care, including, starting and operating a physician billing company, directing a practice management firm, owning/operating a compliance management company, directly managing physician practices, building and managing independent physician associations (“IPAs”), consulting in health care marketing/sales, acquiring and selling health care organizations, and physician recruitment. HIs experiences stretch across very large multi-specialty groups, focused single-specialty groups in several medical fields, independent specialty laboratories, and reference clinical laboratories.
Michael has molded his companies to focus on what he refers to as “the practice management approach”. In billing, this approach serves the needs of pathologists as if PDM was the pathology practice. With this frame of mind, concentration of activities allows stronger results to come forth.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Georgetown University and a Masters of Management from J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Lisa Johnson is Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President for Physician Data Management, L.L.C. (PDM).
Lisa truly “grew up” at PDM. Joining PDM’s A/R area as a collector, she worked her way up the organization based on her performance as a highly skilled professional who has maintained the highest levels of integrity in providing extremely responsive service to PDM’s clients. Lisa brought strong billing skills to PDM in 1998, but she has become one of the strongest leaders of staff and advocates for clients in any billing company anywhere. Lisa’s major foci are: be responsible and accountable to clients and patients; deal with the good and the bad with openness and transparency; manage clients’ money as if it was her own; dig, dig, dig into every day’s issues and opportunities; never stop looking for trends and areas for improvement.
Lisa’s growth up through the A/R ranks at PDM has a definite impact on her focus for clients–show them the money. Moreover, Lisa’s sensitivity to patient needs has been instrumental in maintaining Patient Services teams that truly do the best every day to take care of calls and concerns of patients. She never stops looking for the things that get in the way of collecting money, whether those issues are at the front of the process or anywhere along the way.
